 Participated with the Capitol Region Council of Governments in its "Picture it Better Together" study of smart growth and its Visual Preference Survey.

Retained the services of Tony Nelessen, a nationally-recognized consultant, to develop a base-line plan for the town center.

Retained the services of graduate students in the University of Massachusetts Landscape Architecture Program to develop plans, elevations, and models of the town center.

A $500,000 grant application was approved by the Office of Policy and Management under the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) for Mountain Road area improvements.Contracted with BL Companies of Meriden, CT to design the project. Subsequently, an additional $400,000 in STEAP funds were secured for this project.  The project included installation of a traffic signal at Mountain Road Market Place, as well as streetscape improvements along Mountain Road such as decorative lighting, benches, and a streetclock.  Approximately $100,000 in private donations were received for the streetscape project.

Secured $857,000 from the Prison Expansion agreement for town center improvements.

Suffield became a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's National Main Street Program which provides resources useful toward center enhancements.

Suffield became a member of the Connecticut Main Street's Downtown Resource Center which provides training on various Main Street revitalization tools.

New signage at the Masonic Hall, Town Hall, Chestnut Oak Realtors, Clear Cut Solutions, Food Bag, Suffield Auto and Mountain Road Market Place.

Entered into a marketing agreement with owner of 5 High Street (vacant gas station) to find appropriate developer for the site.  Worked with purchaser of the parcel toward the redevelopment of the site into a two-story brick office building that would be capitable with the historic character of the Town Center. 

Worked with developer at 222 Mountain Road (next to McAlister School) in the development of a national daycare facility and office building.

Welcomed new businesses to town such as Pacifica, a restaurant specializing in Asian Cuisine, as well as Edward Jones.

Zoning regulation change to allow for outdoor dining.

Adopted Town Center Village District Zone providing for town agency review of aesthetics, signage, etc. within the District.

Successful events such as Concerts on the Green and Suffield on the Green.

Distribute an electronic newsletter called "Town Center Headline News."

Replaced a stretch of sidewalk on the Town Green in front of Suffield Academy.

Acquired Calvary Church for a permanent Senior Center site.
