Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Lot 12 Mach One

On Friday, March 12th a groundbreaking ceremony was held at Lot 12 of Mach One for a new 15,736 s.f. facility. First Selectman, Elaine Sarsynski, welcomed those attending the ceremony and thanked Owen Wilson and Alicja Zyzniewska, owners of Hilltop Technologies, for investing in Suffield. State Senator John Kissel and State Representative Ruth Fahrbach wished the company well on behalf of the State of Connecticut. Howard Orr, Chairman of the Suffield Economic Development Commission, said that "A telecommunications firm like Hilltop is desirable for the Mach One Industrial Park because it is a large export field with growing markets in Asia." Owen Wilson thanked the Town of Suffield for working with them in the sale of the land and moving the project through the local approval process. He also thanked Marie Morales-Johnson and Rockville Bank for having the vision to give Hilltop Technologies its first loan and helping the company to grow. Ray Stone represented the Suffield Chamber of Commerce and Leon Berneche represented the builder, L.N.Berneche of Chicopee, MA. Hilltop Technologies sells telephone and voice mail systems. They will occupy approximately 6,000 s.f. of the new building. The remaining square footage will be leased and Colliers, Dow & Condon is the leasing agent. For more information on Hilltop Technologies visit their website at www.hilltoptech.com.

In addition to Hilltop Technologies, current owners or tenants in the Park include Poulin, Kelly Container, USF, Tittarelli, Zanger, Americans, and Metal Finish Equipment & Supply. The establishment of Mach One was a joint effort between the Town of Suffield and the State of Connecticut.
