Northeastern Economic Developers Association Awards

The Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) has recognized the very best economic development promotional work for 2004, and Connecticut received 11 nods including one for the Bradley Development League and another for the Town of Suffield. The Bradley Development League won a superior award in the General Purpose category for its promotional brochure. The Town of Suffield Economic Development Commission took home a price for their brochure submitted to the Tourism category.

Economic development professionals across eleven Northeastern states annually submit their best work against that of colleagues in categories ranging from General Purpose marketing to Targeted Industries strategies to Annual Reports and Internet web sites. NEDA recognizes excellence in each category, as determined by an outside panel of marketing experts who serve as judges.

The Capital Region Council of Government has presented the towns of East Granby, Suffield, Windsor and Windsor Locks an award recognizing “Exemplary Inter-town Cooperation.” The award signed by Lyle Wray, Executive Director of CRCOG, and Stephen Cassano, CRCOG Chairman, states, “For your service and efforts in the Bradley Development League Inc., a consortium dedicated to promoting economic development on and around Bradley International Airport.” Officials “share information and market this area without regard to municipal boundaries.”
