Transportation Advantages


  There are several advantages to locating your business in Suffield because Suffield provides an ideal location for business from a transportation standpoint. The Interstate Highway system (I-91) is within 3-5 miles.  Bradley International Airport, New England's second largest facility and the fastest growing "worldclass" airport in the northeast, is adjacent to the southern boundry of the town.  Several Industrial and Commercial sites are accessed by a railroad spur.

Rail Service

A CSX spur runs directly through several parcels, and rail sidings are available. There is "piggyback" access to the West Springfield freight yard just 15 miles away, where truck trailers can be loaded from railroad cars. A "flexiflow" operation in Hartford - just 13 miles away by I-91 - provides shippers with a convenient location for handling bulk commodities.
