Guide to Demolition

The Guide to Demolition will walk you through the necessary steps to safely plan and execute a demolition.

The State of Connecticut Demolition Code is administered by the local Building Official and covers any wrecking activity directed to the disassembling, dismantling, dismembering and/or razing of any structure or any part of that structure.

A Certificate of Registration is required by the State of Connecticut for any demolition.  You will need to install the Adobe Reader program in order to download and view the applications:

A Class "A" Demolition License is required for structures that exceed 2 1/2 stories or 35 feet in height. A Class "B" Demolition License is required for structures equal to or less than 2 1/2 stories or 35 feet in height.
