Welcome to the Town of Suffield's website.  We are striving to make this site an invaluable resource for Town residents by providing a comprehensive directory of information.  Such information includes contact information for each Town Department and organization, downloadable application forms, regulations, and meeting agendas and minutes, helpful links and answers to common questions.

In the summer of 2007, the Suffield website underwent a massive overhaul to increase the availability of information and the ease of the browsing experience.  Some of the changes included:

-Repairing broken or outdated links, updating contact information and content, and translating individual webpages onto templates so that the website is a more uniform, organic experience.

-Reorganizing the website structure so that information is presented logically and grouped into shared categories, thereby decreasing the time needed to reach pertinent information.

-Uploading new content, including many application forms, regulations, minutes and agendas, and answers to common questions.  The Building Department in particular now offers comprehensive guides which walk homeowners through the steps necessary to construct many different projects.

-And, most importantly, compartmentilizing Town Departments and organizations, so that content can be changed on the individual level and eliminating the need for a webmaster.  This change allows Departments to update their website instantly, without waiting for approval from a single authority, thereby increasing the speed at which information can be posted.
