Barns - Barns are a distinctive feature of Suffield's rural landscape. The barns vary in color from vibrant reds to dull grays. Some are not much larger than a garage but others are prodigious in size. Some have a simple grace and design while others have unique architectural features that could star in design magazines. Some serve active farms for the storage of equipment or hay, or for the sheltering of livestock. Some have become extensions of homes and still others have reached the end of their useful lives and lie weathering in the fields.
