Hello and welcome,

Chief Manzi is a retired Commander from the Hartford Police Department. His 23 years of experience and expertise have proved to be “indispensable”, wrote Police Commission Chairman Joseph Quinn Jr. in his annual report. Since his arrival, Chief Manzi has instituted organizational and technological changes, which have strengthened the command structure of the organization and brought the department to the forefront in modern technology. The Chief readily accepts challenges and leads by example, inspiring exceptional job performance commitment from others.

Chief Manzi has a strong commitment to community policing and by virtue has directed a clear mission statement to this philosophy. The Suffield Police Department is a service-based organization that establishes goals and objectives to meet the needs of the community. By partnering with all aspects of our community, our department is more likely to implement proper strategies for its success and community satisfaction. Our department staff is comprised of highly professional, dedicated and skilled public servants. We have worked closely with the community to bring residents of Suffield the police service they deserve.

Suffield is a thriving and dynamic community and our department will focus on service as our first priority and guiding principle as we meet the future growth of our town.
