Description
Sunrise Park is a beautful park surrounding the picturesque White's Pond on the side of West Suffield Mountain. The park has many hiking trails throughout, and borders the Metacomet Trail. White's Pond is a perfect pond for canoeing and fishing, and the swimming area is a great place to cool off in the summer.
Sunrise park is open to all Suffield residents. There is no overnight parking or camping.

Sunrise Park Reservation Form
STARTING JANUARY 1, 2008 ALL RESERVATIONS WILL BE TAKEN THROUGH THE PARK SUPERITENDENT. PLEASE CALL TOM AT 668-3846 BEGINNING JANUARY 1ST.
The Conservation Commission oversees the upkeep of Sunrise and Stony Brooke Parks. The parks can be enjoyed for the purpose of passive recreation. Sunrise Park pavilion can be reserved for birthday parties or family gatherings. Both parks are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to the published sunset time. The walking trails close 1/2 hour before the published sunset time. Please see the above link for more information on Sunrise Park and to download a reservation form.
All reservations are accepted through the Sunrise Park Superintendent, Thomas Drakeley at 668-3846. Please check for open availability by clicking the link above. The reservation form may be downloaded or a copy may be sent to you. A deposit fee in the amount of $50.00 is required at the time of the reservation. This deposit needs to be in the form of a check made payable to the Town of Suffield. This deposit will not be cashed, it will be attached to your reservation and returned after your function provided the pavilion is left in a clean manner and there was no damage to the park property. Reservations for each year will not be taken until January 1st. All reservation forms must be sent to Tom Drakeley, Park Superintendent, 2075 Mountain Road, West Suffield, CT 06093.
